Our Story

Hello everyone, this is Max Miller, the owner and head of Quality First Remodeling. We are a remodeling and renovation operation based out of Kent Ohio. Our primary focus is providing bathroom, home work spaces, kitchen and basement remodels to northeast Ohio. The roots of QF were established in 1995 in Stow Ohio by my Uncle Jim Miller. In 2021 we partnered with Jim and started the process of the second generation of Miller’s taking the reins of the company, formerly known as Miller’s handyman Service.

I worked alongside Jim, and my father John Miller for many years as well as a number of years growing my experience with other outfits. When we began our partnership several years ago we wanted to narrow our services and service area to focus on what mattered most to us, which was providing our surrounding communities with high quality craftsmanship within their homes. Prior to that we were established with a number of large commercial contracting groups and for many years serviced the greater Cleveland area doing retail and commercial remodeling and repair alongside serving our pool of residential clients in the Summit and Portage county areas. Now our time is spent in those same communities serving the new and old faces that have helped us grow and support us to become what we are today. We are a company dedicated to quality and committed to upholding our reputation, that promise is sealed into our name, Quality First. We have a shared expertise in home remodeling and have grown to include home studios and soundproofing services. Those services were born out of my life long passion for craftsmanship and a love of music and audio. For 25+ years I’ve spent developing my ability, focusing on guitar and home recording methods. For 20 years I’ve watched and participated in the tidal wave of hardware and software products made available at the consumer level for audio production. The results that can be achieved in a “home studio” today are remarkable, and attainable on a personal budget. Today more and more professionals are turning to their own homes to produce music. I believe this is the direction that the future of music is heading. A large portion of music you hear today is recorded and mixed in these at home studios, and I want to help make that more accessible to anyone who is interested. Professionals and hobbyists alike.
